Karen Suzette Ezell Anderson

(August 22, 1962 – July 10, 2025)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary for Karen Suzette Ezell Anderson, 62 of Petal, who passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Brother Clay Williamson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Happy Sullivan.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church, 600 Old Hwy 49, Seminary, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Scott Dorman, Dewey Earl Ezell, Michael Lane Ezell, Mikey Ezell, Gerald Walker Ezell, Jr. and Chris Mitchell.

Mrs. Anderson was born on August 22, 1962, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Gerald Walker Ezell and Linda Nell Yelverton Ezell.  She retired from the Nissan Manufacturing Plant in Canton.  Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Collins.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be greatly missed by her family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Steven Anderson; and her parents, Gerald Walker Ezell and Linda Nell Yelverton Ezell.

Survivors include one daughter, Kayla Anderson Sullivan (Kyle) of Seminary, MS; one son, Gregory Scott Dorman of Hattiesburg; three brothers, Gerald Walker Ezell Jr., Dewey Earl Ezell, and Michael Lane Ezell, all of McLaurin, MS; five grandchildren, Nehemiah Trae Dorman, Emma Kate Dorman, Daniel Storm Dorman, Mary Keller Sullivan, and Kyle Knox Sullivan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
