Katherine Hutchinson Ady
(September 13, 1928 – January 5, 2025)

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Katherine H Ady, 96 of Laurel, who passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her residence in Laurel, MS.

Bro. Mike Wade and Bro. Eric Estes will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Old Chapel Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.

Mrs. Ady was a committed Christian and a talented seamstress. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ady; parents, Rufus and Hassie Hutchinson; sisters, Montee Wade, Mignon Beasley and Daisy Coulter;  nephew, Mark Coulter.

Survivors include her two daughters, Pamela Taylor of Laurel, MS and Patricia Summers, and her husband, Robert of Collins, MS; two grandchildren, Bianca Taylor of Hattiesburg and Brandon Taylor of Laurel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
