Kathy Ellen Ponder

(December 7, 1955 – October 19, 2021)

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at Cooley Springs Baptist Church in Mount Olive for Kathy Ellen Bounds Ponder, 65 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at her home in Mount Olive.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Kathy was born on December 7, 1955, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She enjoyed working with her flowers, taking care of her animals, and most of all spending time with her family.  She will be missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Bounds; mother, Nora Dye; grandmother, Clairese Mitchell; one brother, Terry Bounds; and one sister, Libby Bounds.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty years, Sam Ponder of Mount. Olive; one son, Anthony Ponder of Mount Olive; two sisters, Kelly Bounds of Soso, and Nora Bounds of Hattiesburg; and a host of other family members and friends.
