Kay Morgan Coleman

(September 6, 1953 – March 24, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Seminary for Kay Morgan Coleman, 67 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Brother Josh Henderson, Brother Wayne Woolwine, and Brother David Parker will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 and from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Seminary.

Pallbearers will be Alex Knight, Ryan Knight, Wayne Coleman, Colby Coleman, Tyler Coleman, and Grady Windham.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Shows, Chris Smith, Justen Jones, Joe Robinson, Dontrell Hales and Stanley Windham.

Mrs. Coleman was born on September 6, 1953 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Robert and Bernice Wade Morgan.  She was a loving wife, mother, maw maw, and sister.  Mrs. Coleman retired from Sally's Beauty Supply after fifteen years of service as the manager.  She also worked for Wesley Medical Center as an EKG Technician.  Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Seminary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernice Wade Morgan; and her grandparents.

Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Jimmy Coleman of Seminary; two daughters, Stephanie Coleman Cheek and Melanie Coleman Parish (Michael Joseph), all of Seminary; one son, Jay Coleman of Seminary; nine grandchildren, Courtney Kay Cheek, Abby Draughn, Skyla McRee, Alex Knight, Ryan Knight, Hanna Tisdale, Ethan Coleman, Emily Coleman, and Tyler Coleman; eight great-grandchildren, Jaycee Butler, Jimma Kay Cheek, Riley Jade Sanford, Avah Hales, Averie Hales, Christian Knight, Jr., Colton Knight, and Brett Boswell; two sisters, Joan Morgan Smith (Kenny) of Moselle and Barbara Morgan Windham (Grady) of Seminary; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
