Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Station Creek Baptist Church in Collins for Kay Flynt Taormina, 77 of Seminary, who passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Asbury House in Hattiesburg.
Elder Clay Williamson and Elder Joe Lott will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Station Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Station Creek Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons, Timmy Loftin, Ryan Loftin, Randy Loftin, Layne Loftin, Jimmy Dyess, and Mitchell Arinder.
Mrs. Taormina was born on March 6, 1942 in Collins, Mississippi. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and granny. Mrs. Taormina retired after many years of service as a seamstress in the manufacturing industry. She was a member of the Station Creek Baptist Church in Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Margie Wade Flynt; a brother, Terrell Flynt; and a sister, Evelyn Flynt Moss.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Jim Taormina of Seminary; four children, Timmy Loftin, and his wife, Donna of Seminary, Karen Dyess, and her husband, Jimmy of Collins, Randy Loftin, and his wife, Tammy of Seminary, and Lisa Taormina Arinder, and her husband, Mitchell of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Ryan Loftin (Shannon), Haleigh Loftin Eiland (Cade), Eric Dyess (Katie), Lexy Loftin, Layne Loftin, Will Arinder, and Chloe Arinder; five great-grandchildren, Collin Haney, Cade Loftin, Sykes Loftin, Hank Eiland, and Deak Dyess; two brothers, Gilbert Flynt of Collins and Joe Flynt of Palm Harbor, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
