Kayla Dawn Kelly Sanford

(June 27, 1987 – January 28, 2024)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Seminary Baptist Church in Seminary for Kayla Dawn Kelly Sanford, 36 of Seminary, who passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Reverend West Garner, Dr. Timothy Hubbard, and Reverend Eddie Hill will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Seminary Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Melanie Hubbard and Mrs. Donna Wilcosky. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Seminary Baptist Church, 220 West Main Street, Seminary, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Chase McDaniel, Layton Sanford, Connor Sanford, Parker Sanford, John Kitchens, and Blake Bullock.

Kayla was a loving wife and a proud mother/stepmother.
Kayla, at only 36 years old, touched the lives of many individuals with her infectious laughter, kindhearted nature, and unwavering support. One of the many joys in Kayla's life was her beloved dog, Dexter. Equally significant to Kayla was her profound love for her husband and her children. Kayla loved being a housewife and taking care of her family. She loved big and enjoyed being with family and friends. Kayla greeted others with kindness and love. Her big heart was shown in her generosity. Kayla loved music and enjoyed attending concerts with her husband. She recently connected with her birth family and has loved these new relationships. Her family and friends were blessed to have known her during her time here on earth.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Allen Kelly; her grandparents, Lawrence and Hazel McInnis, and Ernest Merle and Frances Kelly.

Survivors include her husband, Justin Sanford of Seminary, two daughters, Jaycee Kelly of Seminary and Rowan Herring of Sumrall; three step-sons, Layton Sanford, Conner Sanford, and Parker Sanford, all of Seminary; her mother, Dawn McInnis Kelly of Seminary; her birth mother, Andrea Mooney of Portland, Oregon; her birth grandparents, Ray and Linda Gunter of Moss Point; one brother, Skye Kelly of Seminary; one sister, Laura Beth Kelly Bailey (Jonathan) of Seminary; her father-in-law, Joey Sanford (Patty) of Collins; her mother-in-law, Angie Nix (Allen) of Hattiesburg; two nephews, Bryson Bailey, and Tyson Bailey, both of Seminary; and a host of other relatives and friends.
