Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Kenneth Charles Speed, 66 of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
Reverend Grover Gunn will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Skinner, Chandler Speed, Andy Jackson, Adam Cluff, Josh Leggett, and Josh Walley,
Mr. Speed was born on April 13, 1955 in Smith County, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Speed retired as the produce manager for Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store in Seminary. He was a member of Leaf River Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" Speed and Maudine Ishee Sanderson; one daughter, Brandy Speed; one sister, Frances Speed McKay, one Brother, Larry Speed; and one granddaughter, Abigail Carter.
Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Eva Dennis Speed of Collis; his children, Amanda Jackson (Andy) of Mount Olive, Kenny Speed Jr. (Joy) of Sumrall, William Michael Speed (Dawn) of Collins, Chance Speed (Kristian) of Taylorsville, Tyra Speed (Jacob) of Prentiss, Jody Hudson of Seminary, Dale Rosado Jr. (Martha) of Clinton, Daphne Cluff (Adam) of Seminary, Anna Rosado of Collins, Kevin Rosado (Amanda) of Ovett, Derek Rosado of Collins; twenty three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
