Kyle LaRay Johnson

(March 26, 1944 – August 19, 2021)

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Collins City Cemetery for Kyle LaRay Johnson, 77 of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the King's Daughter Medical Center in Brookhaven.

Interment will follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mr. Johnson was born on March 26, 1944 in Leesville, Louisiana to Kyle and Mary Ophelia Green Johnson.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  Mr. Johnson retired after numerous years of service as a Journeyman with Union Hall Local #198.  He was a Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle and Mary Ophelia Green Johnson; and one sister, LaRea Johnson Stuart.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Carolyn French Johnson of Collins; five children, Mariea Dobbs (Dan) of Harrison, Tennessee, Samantha Ensley of Sevierville, Tennessee, Teffanie Engwall (John) of Aiken, South Carolina, Laura Siegel (Ethan) of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Andy Johnson (Mindy) of Sunman, Indiana; two sisters, Ginny Johnson (Al) of Watson, Louisiana and LaValle Tipton (Ron) of Marshall, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Holly, Lily Hope, Michael, Eric, Alex, J.J., Caitlyn, and Alexis; two great-grandchildren, Sophie ad Draven; and a host of nieces and nephews.
