A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017, at the Salem Baptist Church in Collins for Larry L. Ellzey, 74 of Collins, formally of Pascagoula, who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his home.

Reverend Dennis Campbell will officiate at the services with interment to be at a later date. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Larry worked as the Service Manager for Gerry Lane car dealership in Pascagoula for a number of years, then later at Estabrook dealership. He retired in Collins, near his hometown of SoSo, where he enjoyed fishing in his favorite ponds and always sharing his catch with friends. He was a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church in Collins.

He is survived by two daughters, Christy Ellzey Smith, and her husband, Scott of Acworth, Georgia, and Lori Ellzey Osborne, and her husband, Brian of Tampa, Florida; one son, Wayne Ellzey of Pascagoula; four grandchildren, Fairley Smith, Jessica Ellzey, Oliver Osborne, and Cooper Osborne; and a host of other family members and friends.
