Latrell Jefferson Edwards, Sr.

(October 19, 1953 – September 21, 2020)

Graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary for Latrell Jefferson Edwards, Sr., 66 of Seminary, who passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020, at the Hattiesburg Health & Rehab in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Bro. Joe Lott will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Mr. Edwards was born October 19, 1953, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  He was a member of Sanford Missionary Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Jones Edwards; one granddaughter, Abby Bryant; one grandson, Mikey Bryant; father, Harvey Edwards; mother, Mary Boleware Bailey; one sister, Diane Edwards; and two brothers, Jimmy Edwards and Wiley Edwards.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Michelle Edwards Riels and husband, Dale of Seminary, and Dana Edwards Bryant and husband Michael of Seminary; one son, Latrell Edwards, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Seminary; ten grandsons, Shane Riels, Alex Riels, Tyler Edwards, Jeremy Riels, Layton Riels, Noah Edwards, Logan Bryant, Caleb Bryant, Bailey Bryant, and Parker Bryant; one great-grandson Elijah Riels; three sisters, Mae Wilson, Wanda Cox, Bobbie Jean McCraney; two brothers, Bo Edwards and Jamie Rook; and a host of other family members and friends.
