Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Collins for Leon Feazell, 67 of Collins, who passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, at his residence.
Reverend Bonus Brown will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Venia Park Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi, 39428 and from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 105 North Fir Avenue, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Mr. Feazell was born on October 11, 1954, in Collins, Mississippi to Leo and Mattie Spencer Feazell. He was a graduate of the Collins High School Class of 1973 and attended Jones County Junior College. Mr. Feazell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He retired from the City of Collins Parks and Recreational Department after seventeen years of service. Mr. Feazell proudly served his country in the United States and National Guard. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo, and Mattie Spencer Feazell; one brother, Malcolm Feazell; and one sister, Dorothy Feazell Owens.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-six years, Bobbie Jo Lockhart Feazell of Collins; eight children, Clarinda Taylor (Keith) of Collins; Leoletta Hawthorne (Karmi) of Collins, Sovery R. Scott Sr. (Erica) of New Jersey; Nakia Sullivan (Carrie) of Collins; Lyndell Sullivan of Collins; Roshonda McDonald (Corey) of Collins; Quentin Sullivan (Kapri) of Sumrall; and Gregory Sullivan of Denton, Texas; three brothers, Levon Feazell of Collins; Terry Martin of St, Louis, Missouri; and Dexter Magee of Collins; one grandson, Damion McNair and a host of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
