Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for Lexie E. Knight Reynolds, 91 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at her residence.
Reverend Timothy Beard will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Stephanie Jones and Mr. Nick Wilson. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Todd Wilson, Corey Wilson, Matt Wilson, Brett Wilson, Chris Reynolds, Taylor Ashcraft , Blake Ashcraft , Nick Wilson, and Jared Ashcraft .
Mrs. Reynolds was born on November 3, 1926 in Collins, Mississippi. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Mrs. Reynolds had a passion for people and always made them feel special and loved. She had an inviting and contagious smile that would brighten your day. Mrs. Reynolds loved sitting on her back patio enjoying God's beauty. She loved her family and her church. She retired after numerous years of service as an office manager at several apartment complexes in Hattiesburg and Laurel. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church where she managed the cemetery for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Odus Knight and Ethel R. Clark Knight; two sons, Lonny Wilson and Ricky Wilson; one sister, Louise Sokovich , and two brothers, Winfred Knight and Clark Knight.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Kermit E. "Ike" Reynolds of Collins; one son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Deborah Reynolds of Edmond, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Sherry Wilson of Madison; eleven grandchildren, Todd Wilson, Corey Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Matt Wilson, Brett and Jasmine Wilson, Chris Reynolds, Kaitlyn Reynolds, Taylor Ashcraft , Blake Ashcraft , Nick Wilson, and Jared Ashcraft ; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
