Linda Kay Powell Rawls
(June 20, 1943 – November 18, 2025)

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Covington County Church of Christ in Collins for Linda Kay Powell Rawls, 82 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her residence in Collins, Mississippi.

Brother Slade Powell will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Covington County Church of Christ Cemetery in Collins.

The family will receive guests from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Covington County Church of Christ, 716 Highway 588 Collins, Mississippi 39428.

Pallbearers will be Greg Cole, Kayden Murphy, Travis Burgess, Taylor Burgess, Jordan Lea, and Troy Powell.

Linda loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending her time with them, especially her grandchildren. She was well known in her community as the former owner of The Corncrib Florist and from cooking at the deli in Piggly Wiggly in Seminary. Her presence brought laughter, love, and kindness to everyone she met. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis Powell and Deary Gregory Powell; two brothers, Franklin Powell and Willard Powell and one son-in-law, Jim Brunson.\

Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Jimmy Doyle Rawls of Collins, one son, Scott Thomas Rawls (Kathy) of Ellisville; two daughters, Carolyn Marie Rawls Brunson of Moselle and Patricia Gail Burgess (Edward) of Collins; three grandchildren, Jessica Murphy (Buddy) of Moselle, Travis Burgess (Chelcie) of Hammond and Taylor Burgess (Jasmine) of Ohio; six great grandchildren, Kayden Murphy, Brent Burgess, Jack Burgess, Sophie Burgess, Halle Burgess and Reaghan Burgess.
