Lois Parrish Jones

(July 21, 1929 – December 21, 2023)

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a late date for Lois Parrish Jones, 94 of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins, Mississippi.

Interment will be in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Jones was born on July 21, 1929 in Mount Olive, Mississippi to Jimmy and Frankie Sullivan Parrish. She was the former owner and operator of the Merle Norman Cosmetics in Collins.  Mrs. Jones was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Frankie Sullivan Parrish; four brothers, Martice Parrish, Bobby Ray Parrish, Roy Parrish and Johnny Parrish; and two sisters, Helen Parrish Yates and Jimmie Nell Parrish Foerg.

Survivors include one daughter, Misty Jones Page of Collins; one son, James Allen Jones of Brandon; three sisters, Gracie Parrish Smith of Taylorsville, Barbara Parrish Thigpen and Betty Parrish Hart, both of Hattiesburg, MS; seven grandchildren, Matthew Jones (Tracie), Nicholas Jones (Courtney), Justin Harvey (Meagan), Elizah Page, Dallas Page Aultman, Madison Page Allen (Ricky), and Dylan Page; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
