Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Bible Way Pentecostal Church at 207 BlackJack Road Collins, Mississippi, for Lois Walker Speights, 89 who passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Reverend Mark Kitchens, Reverend Avery Kitchens and Reverend Joseph Kitchens will officiate at the services with internment in the Collins City Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Billy M. King- Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Collins will be in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lois Speights was born on October 8, 1936 in Jeff Davis County, MS to George Barnnie Walker and Nancy Dilmore Walker. Mrs. Lois had a host of family which she loved dearly. She took pride and joy in her 3 daughters, 6 grandkids, 19 great grandkids and 1 great great-granddaughter. She loved to sing in church and she loved worshiping her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! When she couldn't go to church and even throughout the week, she would listen to her Gospel music on her IPad, which was one of her favorite past times. She always called each of her family members and the people she loved in prayer daily, up until the point she couldn't anymore. She was a prayer warrior as well as a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2026 at Bible Way Pentecostal Church.
Pallbearers will be: Joseph Kitchens, Avery Kitchens, Chris Buckley, Marcus Gentry, Keith Engman and Blayne Kitchens.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, George Barnie Walker and Nancy Dilmore Walker. Her brothers: J.C. Walker, Fairel Walker, Babe Walker and Barnie G. Walker. Sisters: Irene Walker Graves and Florence Walker Parish. And Great-GrandChild , Jeremiah Levi Kitchens.
She is survived by three daughters: Charlotte Speights Kitchens (Mark) of Sumrall, Rebecca Jo Speights Buckley (Randall) of Prentiss and Sherry Ann Speights Spillman (Albert) of Picayune. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren,19 Great GrandChildren and 1 Great-Great GrandChild.
