Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Collins Presbyterian Church in Collins for Lola Bell Maddox, 97 of Collins, Mississippi, who passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Briar Hill Rest Home in Florence.
Reverend Tommy Shields and Reverend Ricky Kennedy will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Barbara Brister, Mrs. Cindy Shields, and Mr. Ricky Kennedy. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Collins Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers will be Richard Kennedy, Ricky Kennedy, Todd Goode, Thomas Stiles, Johnny Easterling and Tommy Bryant.
Mrs. Maddox was born on October 22, 1922, in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She was a long term member of Collins Presbyterian Church. She and her late husband loved to travel and reached the goal of visiting all fifty U.S. States. She loved gardening and ensured her children were raised in a Christian home with solid values.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O.H. Maddox; her parents, Ancy and Lillie Grubbs; one sister, Jewel Lee Tullos; and two brothers, James Wallace Grubbs and Jimmy Ray Grubbs.
Survivors include her four children, Patricia Ann Clark of Brandon, Mississippi, and her son, Richard Kennedy and his wife, Pamela of Brandon, Mississippi; Jerry Leo Maddox and his wife, Dean of New Boston, Texas, and their children, Deana Stiles and her husband, Thomas of New Boston, Texas and Nikki Champy and her husband, Keith of Fate, Texas; Charlotte Joyce Goode of Brandon, Mississippi, and her son Todd Goode and his wife, Mandalyn of Jackson, Mississippi; and Larry Hubern Maddox and his wife, Jane of Columbia, South Carolina, and their daughter, Stephanie Maddox of Belmont, Massachusetts; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
