Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Louis Glynn Yarborough, 85 of Collins, who passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins.
Reverend Chad Cummins will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Dickerson, Austin Yarborough, Josh Yarborough, Tommy Varnado, Billy Parker, and Wayne Jordan. Honorary pallbearer will be Jake Dickerson.
Mr. Yarborough was born on September 17, 1933 in Tylertown, Mississippi. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Yarborough retired after forty-five years of service as an operator at Mobil Oil Company. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Yarborough proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Clyde Yarborough and Flossie Magee Yarborough.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Yarborough, and his wife, Connie of Seminary, and Larry Yarborough, and his wife, Melissa of Collins; one daughter, Susan Yarborough Rogers, and her husband, Daniel of Collins; three siblings, Nancy Forrest of Alexandria, Louisiana, Jerry Yarborough of Jayess, and Johnny Yarborough of Clearwater, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Kayla Varnado (Tommy), Josh Yarborough (Karen), Michael Dickerson (Stacie), Jake Dickerson, (Shelby), Austin Yarborough, Balyn Rogers, Kacey Yarborough, and Kasie Yarborough Duckworth(Jake); thirteen, great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
