Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Louise "Weezie" Williamson Sanford, 95 of Hattiesburg, who passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Reverend Thomas Graves and Reverend Ken Riblin will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the McDonald Chapel Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Jona Sanford, Kris Keller, J.T. Terui, Mackie Howard Moulds, Danny Leggett, and Bobby Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Jones and Johnny Keys.
Mrs. Sanford was born on December 28, 1928 in Collins, Mississippi to John Wilton Williamson and Lula Victoria Coulter Williamson. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, and friend. Mrs. Sanford took great pride in being a homemaker and raising her children. Her family and faith brought her the most joy in life. Mrs. Sanford enjoyed cooking, needle work, fishing and gardening. She was a member of the Petal Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Carlos "H.C." Sanford, Jr.; her parents, John Wilton Williamson and Lula Victoria Coulter Williamson; her son-in-law, Gene Curtis; three brothers, Wiley Lee Williamson, Roger Williamson, and Jimmy Williamson; and one sister, Shirley Williamson Keys.
Survivors include one son, Glenn Sanford (Bill Jones) of Madison; one daughter, Gayle Curtis of Hattiesburg; one brother, Bobby Williamson (Ruby) of Wetumpka, Alabama; one sister, Margaret Williamson Rogers of Petal; four grandchildren, Jona Sanford (Donna), Kris Keller (Kristie), Jenny Terui (J.T.), and Shelley Curtis; four great-grandchildren, Ailith Sanford, Hugh Carlos "Trey" Sanford, Evan Keller, and Nolan Keller; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
