Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary for Mamie Lee Magee Rowell, 75 of Seminary, who passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Elder Joe Lott will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Rowell was born on September 13, 1943. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. As a life-long resident of Covington County, she was best known for being an avid gardener, and having a good sense of humor. She adored her cats, enjoyed reading, and nature, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Rowell was a member of the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley "Mack" Magee and Roseann Taylor Magee; one sister, Tanzie Magee James; and five brothers, R.C. Magee, Ross Magee, Talmadge Magee, J.L. Magee, and Bobby Magee.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-six years, Clovis Rowell of Seminary; two daughters, Kimberly Knight of Portland, Oregon, and June Owens of Seminary; one grandson, Dustin Owens of Seminary; and many nieces and nephews.
