Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Marcus Wayne Williamson, 66 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Covington County Hospital in Collins.

Brother Steve Ellis will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Williamson Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Dava Hernandez. Billy M, King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be Noah Creel, David Williamson, Kenny Williamson, David Noverise, and Michael Comans.

Mr. Williamson was born on September 15, 1951 in Taylorsville, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Williamson received an Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from William Carey College. He retired from the Covington County Hospital after thirty one years of service as a registered nurse. Mr. Williamson was an active member of the Cooley Springs Baptist Church in Mount Olive where he served as a Sunday School teacher and Treasurer/Secretary of the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt Ray Williamson and Lewois Lott Williamson ; five brothers, Alson "Sonny" Williamson, Charles Ray Williamson, Milton Williamson, David Williamson and Ray Edward Williamson; and one sister, Mary Williamson Carlock.

Survivors include his wife of thirty eight years, Diane Holloway Williamson of Mount Olive, one daughter, Ariel Williamson, and her fiancé, Noah Creel of Mount Olive; two grandchildren, Andrea Leeann Creel and Daniel Noah Creel; two brothers, Kenny Williamson and Carlton Williamson, both of Seminary; and two sisters, Essie Gay Williamson Turner of Anniston, Alabama and Debra Carol Williamson of Mendenhall; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
