Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at New Chapel Pentecostal Church in Collins for Margaret Graves Rutherford, 76, of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at her residence.
Brother Ken Hickman will officiate the services with interment to follow in the New Chapel Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi, and from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at New Chapel Pentecostal Church, 632 Blackjack New Chapel Road, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Matheny, Justin McInnis, Kevin Hebert, Chris Mauldin, Caleb Riddle, and Chris Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Davis, Kevin Hebert II, and Devin Hebert.
Mrs. Margaret was born on May 19, 1947, in Weisbaden, Germany, to Alonzo and Gisela Graves. She was known in her community for having an "open door policy" and being willing to help anyone in need. She deeply loved her family. Caring for her children and grandchildren was among her greatest joys in life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Rutherford; father, Alonzo Graves, Sr.; mother, Gisela Hoffman Graves; brothers, Sandy "Bimbo" Graves, Robert "Humpy" Graves and Alonzo "Buster" Graves, Jr..
Survivors include her children, Lisa Hebert of Collins, Danny Warren of Collins, Angela Matheny of Collins, Charlotte Mauldin (Chris) of Sumrall, Rebecca Scott of Ohio, and David Wayne Rutherford of Brandon; brother, Ernest "Bo Weevil" Graves of Gulfport; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
