Margaret J. Turner Chain

(November 13, 1942 – April 30, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Mount Olive Worship Service in Mount Olive for Margaret J. Chain, 78 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Dewitt Bain will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Rutland Cemetery in Mount Olive.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Janna Chain, Mr. Hillard Doyel Chain, II., Miss Victoria Clark, and Mrs. Alexis Pruden.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Mount Olive Worship Center, 1197 Rock Hill Church Road, Mount Olive, MS 39119.

Pallbearers will be Ernie Knight, Randy Warren, Jeff Paschall, Matthew Dillon, Jacob Pruden, and Tex Strength.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Cruse and Jimmy Norris.

Mrs. Chain was born on November 13, 1942 in Oakdale, Louisiana to Louid Jack Turner, and Myrtle M. Morgan Turner.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Mrs. Chain worked outside the home for numerous years before retiring and becoming a full-time homemaker.  She was a member of the Mount Olive Worship Center in Mount Olive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hillard Doyel Chain; her parents, Louid Jack Turner and Myrtle M. Morgan Turner; four brothers, Jack Turner, Travis Turner, David Turner, and Louis Turner; and two sisters, Linda Wetterman and Patricia Spell.

Survivors include her three children, Rita K. Clark, and her husband, Steven of Mount Olive, Donna Cruse, and her husband, Mark of Huntsville, Texas, and Hillard Doyel Chain, II., and his wife, Janna of Mount Olive; six grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Paschall, and her husband, Jeff, Victoria Clark, Alexis Pruden, and her husband, Jacob, Mark Johnson, Dylan Chain, and Jonathan Chain; one great-grandson, Joshua Pruden; two brothers, Charles Turner of Sulphur, Louisiana and Glynn Turner of Kingwood, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
