Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for Marlon Wayne "Fuzzy" Lightsey, 74 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins.

Reverend Glenn Shoemake will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Cold Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Pauline Lightsey, and The Camerons - Justin and Felicia.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Darrell Lightsey, Eric Lightsey, Wade Clark, Jonathan Clark, Adam Clark, and Todd Dupre.

Mr. Lightsey was born on November 2, 1943 in Collins, Mississippi.  He was a graduate of the Collins High School Class of 1962.  Mr. Lightsey retired from Bell South Telephone Company after thirty plus years of service as a telephone cable technician.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Lightsey was a member of the Cold Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estus and Susie Wade Lightsey; three brothers, Mike Lightsey, Maxie Lightsey, and Adolph Wade King; and three sisters, Zelda Lightsey Hendry, Damie Lightsey Brown , and Ginger Lightsey Confer.

Survivors include one brother, George "Peanut" Lightsey (Pauline) of Collins, two sisters, Chellie Lightsey Clark (Jerry) of Laurel, and Floy Lightsey Bustin of Seminary; a brother-in-law, James Brown of Alabaster, Alabama; two sisters-in-law, Johnnie Dale Lightsey King of Collins, and Mae King of Cleveland, Tennessee, and a host of nieces, and nephews.
