Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the Ora Cemetery for Marshell Shermon Walker, 74 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.

Brother Reese Douglas, Jr., Brother Gary Bridges, and Brother Wayne Woolwine will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, T.J. Walker, Shane Walker, Taylor Walker, John Paul Norrell, Ethan Walker, and Dalton Walker.

Mr. Walker was born on August 14, 1942 in Simpson County, Mississippi. He was a retired carpenter. Mr. Walker was a member of the Baptist faith and attended the Sunset Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Walker and Emma Ree Harvey Walker; and one brother, Mickey Walker.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Sandra Kilgore Walker of Collins; three sons, Marshall Timothy "Timmy" Walker and his wife, Tonya of Collins, Michael D. Walker and his wife, Lynn of Florence, and Jimmy Kevin Walker and his wife, April of Petal; two sisters, Mildred Norris of Collins and Jean Norris of Harrison, Arkansas; two brothers, Herman Walker and Ronnie Walker, both of Collins; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
