Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the Mount Olive City Cemetery for Martha Lewis Starling, 85, of Mount Olive, Mississippi, who passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Mr. Justin Starling, Esquire, will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Mount Olive City Cemetery.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Heather Duke Wilson.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dr. Jeff Wilson, Joel Wilson, Justin Starling, Esquire, Brenson Starling, Jarret Starling, and Joshua Starling.  Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons-in-law, Dr. Joel Tucker and Scotty McRaney.

Mrs. Starling was born on Thursday, May 2, 1935 in Mount Olive, Mississippi to Charles W. Lewis and Lula Ann Milling Lewis.  She retired from Hillcrest Health Center after twenty years of services as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Reeves Starling; her parents, Charles W. Lewis and Lula Ann Milling Lewis; five sisters, Mary Lewis Brister, Edna Lewis McRaney, Lucille Lewis, Marie Lewis Chapman, and Gladys Lewis Poupa; and three brothers, Charles Lewis, John Lewis, and James Lewis.

Survivors include one daughter, Thea Starling Wilson, and her husband, Woodie of Collins; five sons, Michael Starling, and his wife, Susie of Hammond, Louisiana, Donald Starling of Mount Olive, David Starling, and his wife, Kathy, of Mount Olive, Joseph Starling, and his wife, Wanda of Ellisville, and Joel Starling Jr. of Panama City, Florida; nine grandchildren, Mary Ann Starling McRaney (Scotty), Dr. Jeff Wilson (Katey), Dr. Melissa Wilson Tucker (Joel), Joel Wilson (Heather), Leslie Starling Moore, Brenson Starling, Justin Starling, Esquire (Kayla), Jarret Starling and Joshua Starling; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
