Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Marvin Gay Ingram, 89 of Seminary, who passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at his residence in Seminary, MS.
Brother Gary Bridges, Brother Everette Broome, and Brother Brad Courtney will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Smyrna Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Susan Deen. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.
Pallbearers will be Keith Drennan, Blake Knight, Randy Carter, Richard Loper, Stacy Holifield, Ethan Ingram, and Ryan Ingram. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Ingram, Terry Ward, Billy Ray Ward, Larry Pace, Steve Mauldin, Lloyd Mauldin, Jared Reesor, Derek Reesor, Jonathan Carter, Robert Carter, J.C. Eubanks, Steven Pace and Emil Knight.
Marvin was known by his classmates called as "Thad" and they called him a good ole man.He was married to Tommie Lou, the love of his life, for sixty two years. He was a loving husband, father, "Pawpaw", and friend to all who knew him and he will be dearly missed. Marvin loved gardening and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Courtney Ingram; parents; Thadeous Ingram, Sr.and Lillie Shoemake Ingram; three brothers, Marion Ingram, T.W. Ingram and J.D. Ingram and two sisters, Marie Ingram Ward and Etheree Ingram.
Survivors include his son, Ricky Ingram (Ann) of Seminary, two daughters, Marla Jo Ingram of Seminary and Rhonda Ingram of Seminary; one sister, Tressie Ingram Knight (J.C.) of Mount Olive; two grandsons, Ethan Ingram of Brandon and Ryan Ingram of Baldwyn.
