Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Longview Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary for Mary Elizabeth Bass Thrash, 85 of Seminary, who passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her residence.

Brother Doug Barber and Brother Wayne Woolwine will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Longview Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Susan Deen and Mrs. Jackie Thrash. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Longview Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Randy Thrash, Mark Thrash, Casey Williams, Brett Williams, Patrick Pipkins, Chris Thrash, Tucker Thrash, and Brandon Thrash.

Mrs. Thrash was born on March 5, 1933 in Seminary, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Thrash and her late husband, J.C. Thrash, were the owners and operators of Thrash Farms in Seminary. She was a member of the Longview Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Jewel Bass; her husband, John C. Thrash; and two brothers, Gaston Bass and G.W. Bass.

Survivors include her four children, John C. Thrash, Jr., and his wife, Suzie and Patricia Thrash Williams, and her husband, Johnny, all of Seminary, Patsy Thrash Pipkins, and her husband, Charles of Collins; and Claude Thrash, and his wife, Jackie of Hattiesburg; one, sister, Reba Grice of Ellisville; eight grandchildren, Randy Thrash, Mark Thrash, Casey Williams, Brett Williams, Jamie Williams, Angela Eiler, Patrick Pipkins, and Chris Thrash; sixteen great-grandchildren, Brandon Thrash, Meagan Thrash, Tucker Thrash, Amanda Thrash, Bailey Thrash, Jacob Thrash, Anna Kate Thrash, Dalton Thrash, Regan Williams, Cooper Williams, Peyton Eiler, Kameron Eiler, Breydon Eiler, Aiden Thames, Noah Pipkins, and Luke Pipkins; and one great great-grandson, John Hardy Thrash.
