(October 19, 1940 - March 22, 2023)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive for Mary June Clark Wise, 82, of Mount Olive, who passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at her residence.

Reverend Nelson Crozier will officiate the services with interment to follow in the McNair Cemetery in Mount Olive. Special music will be provided by Ms. Tanya Kennedy. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Christopher Hinsz, Sam Sanford, Robert Sanford, Carson Wise, Brodie Bass, Braylon Bass, Craig Greer, and Phillip Barth.

Mary June was born on Saturday, October 19, 1940, in Laurel, Mississippi, to Marion and Ada Elizabeth Craft Clark. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary June retired from Greentree Family Medical Clinic in Mount Olive after forty years of service as a receptionist and clerk.  She was a member of the Mount Olive First Baptist Church. Mary June was a loving and caring person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Ada Elizabeth Craft Clark; one brother, Cullen Clark; a son -in-law, Stennett Zack Sanford; and one grandson, Adam Zack Sanford.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years, Carl Leonard Wise of Mount Olive; one son, Carlton Leonard Wise, and his wife Danielle of Salem, Oregon; four daughters, Carla Wise Nichols, and her husband, Mike, Teresa Wise Hinsz, and her husband, Troy, and Sheila Wise Sanford, all of Mount Olive, and Kristie Wise Bass, and her husband, Kyle of Sumrall; eleven grandchildren, Nicole Nichols, Mary Hinsz Greer (Craig), Sam Sanford, Christopher Hinsz (Helen), Katie Sanford, Robert Sanford, Briar Bass, Carson Wise, Brodie Bass, Braylon Bass, and Carly Wise; two great-grandchildren, Grant Greer and Gracelyn Greer; a sister-in-law, Sue Wise of Mount Olive; one nephew, Steve Wise (Ladonna) of Collins; one niece, Debbie Wise of Madison; and a host of other family members and friends.
