Mary Hutson Plumer

(December 11, 1932 – March 17, 2022)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Mary Hutson Plumer, 89 of Gonzales, Louisiana, and formerly of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Ascension Oaks Nursing Home in Gonzales. Louisiana.

Father Marcin Wiktor will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lone Star Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, MS 39428.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mrs. Plumer was born on December 11, 1932 in McComb, Mississippi to Ralph Hutson Sr., and Lela Sauce Hutson.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Mrs. Plumer retired from the Plaquemine Parish School System after twenty-plus years of service as a cafeteria worker.  She was a member of the St. Stephens Catholic Church in Magee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Hutson Sr, and Lela Sauce Hutson; her husband, Ernest Joseph Plumer Jr.; one son, Ronald Plumer, Sr.; and two grandsons, Ronald Plumer, Jr. and David Plumer.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Plumer, Sr., and his wife, Joanne of Buras, Louisiana, Allan Plumer, and his wife, Debra of Prairieville, Louisiana, and Jimmie Plumer, and his wife, Billie of Belle Chasse, Louisiana; thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
