Maxine Graham Williamson

(September 10, 1934 – January 29, 2023)

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Maxine Graham Williamson, 88 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS.

Reverend West Garner will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Barbara Brister.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 pm until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 and from 1200 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Shad Harvey, Dennis Smith, Layne McLaurin, Jason Leonard, Scott Drennan, and Timothy McDonald.  Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Leggett, Johnny Keys, and Daniel Smith, .

Mrs. Williamson was born on September 10, 1934 in Seminary, Mississippi to Van Buren Graham and Barbara Lee Gilmore Graham.  She served two terms as the Covington County Circuit Clerk.  Mrs. Williamson later retired from the Covington County's Sheriff Department after twenty-five years of service as the office manager. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collins.

She loved sitting on her back porch with friends, drinking coffee, and feeding the hummingbirds and raccoons.  Mrs. Williamson will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, Van Buren Graham and Barbara Lee Gilmore Graham; her husband, Wiley Lee Williamson; and her son, Van Graham Williamson.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Graham Williamson of Collins and LeAnne Williamson of Seminary; her daughter-in-law, Laurie Carroll Williamson of Seminary; and two great-grandchildren, Loralee Williamson and Van Graham Williamson; and a host of other family members and friends.
