A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Williamsburg Methodist Church in Collins for Mazie McRaney Rogers, 86 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Reverend Bob Lytle will officiate at the services. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Williamsburg Methodist Church, 17 Sunset-Williamsburg Road, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.
Mrs. Rogers was born on April 15, 1939, in Collins, Mississippi to Daniel Warren McRaney Sr. and Lettie Jewel Campbell McRaney. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mrs. Rogers retired from the Mississippi State Welfare Department after twenty plus years of service. She was a member of the Williamsburg Methodist Church. Mrs. Rogers was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Larry Rogers; her parents Daniel Warren McRaney Sr. and Lettie Jewel Campbell McRaney; two brothers, Jerry McRaney and Daniel Warren McRaney Jr.; and one sister, Evelyn Peggy McRaney Kelly.
Survivors include her son, Daniel Dewayne Rogers (Susan Rogers) of Collins, MS; two daughters, Linda McCoy Farlow (Kidd Farlow) of Columbia, MS and Laura Sullivan (Christopher Sullivan) of Prentiss, MS; five grandchildren, Matthew McCoy, Joshua McCoy, Michelle Sullivan Johnson (Terrell Johnson), Justin Sullivan, and Balyn Rogers; five great-grandchildren; two nieces, Sonya McRaney Powell of Laurel, MS and Pam Kelly Bullock of Hattiesburg , MS.; and a host of great nieces and great nephews.
