Michael Mervin Trigg

(December 2, 1950 – November 1, 2020)

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at the Woodlawn Church in Columbia for Michael Mervin Trigg, 69 of Seminary, who passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Reverend Jerron Carney and Bishop James Carney will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Seminary Cemetery in Seminary.  Special music will be provided by the Woodlawn Church music team.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Woodlawn Church.

Pallbearers will be Roy Dearman, Jr. Price, Larry Miller, Randy Albin, Rufus Trigg, and Chris Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be the Usher Team of Woodlawn Church.

Mr. Trigg was born December 2, 1950, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  He was a devoted member of Woodlawn Church in Columbia, Mississippi, where he served on the Usher Team.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family, his church family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Trigg; parents, Edwin M. Trigg and Doris Lowery Trigg.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifteen years, Rene' Sistrunk Trigg of Seminary; three sons, Chad Trigg and wife, Jody of Seminary, Eric Trigg and wife, Rachel of Hurley, and Justin Trigg and wife, Christal of Birmingham, AL; one daughter, Kellye Barber and husband, Wesley of Covington, LA; nine grandchildren, Morgan Mitchell and husband Justin, Tristin Trigg, Colby Trigg, Dakota Trigg, Emma Trigg, Eli Trigg, Scarlett Barber, Silas Barber, and Shep Barber; one brother, Richard Trigg and wife, Ladora of Seminary; one sister, Linda Trigg Miller and husband, Larry of Flowood; and host of other family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Asbury Hospice House of Hattiesburg for the outstanding care to Mr. Trigg.
