Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Mildred S. Harvey, 92 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the The Landmark of Collins.
Reverend Wyman Bradley and reverend Jeff Walker will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Becky Sellers, Miss Brenna Grace Clark, and Mr. Robbie Sellers. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Jason Kelly, Brad Kelly, Wade Clark, Nolan Kelly, Hunter Emfinger, and Chaz Emfinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Byrd, Walt Sellers, Ethan Kelly, and Camden Clark.
Mrs. Harvey was born on April 12, 1926 in Chickasaw County, Mississippi. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Harvey retired after twenty eight years of service as a beauty shop owner and operator. She was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church in Mount Olive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loy and Ethel Holiday Walker; her husband, Berl W. "Buck" Harvey; two step-sons, Gerald Harvey and Paul Harvey; two sisters, Gladys Vaughn and Elaine Brock; and two brothers, Herbert Walker and Halbert Walker.
Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Sullivan Kelly, and her husband, Greg of Mount Olive, and Keita Sullivan Boland of Collins; one step-daughter, Ann Haley of Byram; one step-son, Harris Harvey of Morton; one sisters, Becky Hardin, and her husband, Bobby of Madison; five grandchildren, Ricky Byrd, Daryl Byrd, and his wife, Jan, Jason David Kelly, and his wife, Tracy, Ty Kelly Clark, and her husband, Wade, and Bradley Joe Kelly; twelve great-grandchildren, Austin, Houston, Sidney, Cheyenne, Steven, Jessica, Lena Belle, Nolan, Brenna Grace, Ethan, Camden, and Alivia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
