Myra Mcbeth's Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2016 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for Myra McBeth, 72 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Covington County Hospital.
Reverend Calvin Price, Reverend Danny Adams, and Mr. Shane McBeth will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Bob McBeth, Carl McBeth, Gerald Graham, Ezra Gene Newsome, Philip Ponder, Kirk Jacobs, Jonah McBeth, and Anthony Hinton.
Miss McBeth was born on July 1, 1944 in Mount Olive, Mississippi. She was employed by W.E. Blain and Sons, Inc. in Mount Olive for the last fifty three years as their insurance agent and office manager. Miss McBeth was an active member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Mount Olive and the Ladies Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Hugh McBeth, Sr. and Lillian Melysa Williamson McBeth; one sister, Elizabeth Jean McBeth Newsome and her husband, Ezra Newsome; three brothers, Thomas Edward McBeth and his wife, Pauline Allen McBeth, James Wallace "Jimmy" McBeth, and Andrew Hugh McBeth, Jr.; and one brother-in-law, Jesse Rudolph Ponder.
Survivors include two sisters, Martha McBeth Ponder of Mount Olive, and Myrl McBeth Graham and her husband, Bobby Ray of Hattiesburg; one brother, Kenneth McBeth and his wife, Marsha of Collins; a sister-in-law, Elowise McBeth of Mount Olive; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Covington County Gideons, P.O. Box 1562, Collins, Mississippi. 39428. Family and friends may sign an online guestbook at www.billymkingcolonialchapel.com
