Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Mrs. Oblee Graham Pickering, 95 of Seminary, who passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins.

Brother Everett Broome and Brother Clay Williamson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Welch-Graham Graveyard in Ellisville. Special music will be provided by Mr. Matthew Pickering and Brother Brent King. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, and great-grandsons, Greg Crosby, Matthew Pickering, Michael Yawn, Lane Crosby, Cade Knight, and Curt Ellis.  Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Warren Graham, Glen Graham, Kenneth Sanford, Rayford Sanford, Terrell Crosby, Wilford Tisdale, Dale Maskew, Eldon Maskew, Lyndell Maskew, and Wendell Graham.

Mrs. Pickering was born on August 20, 1923 in Jones County.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  Mrs. Pickering was the oldest member of County Line Baptist Church in Ellisville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alford B. and Emma Pitts Graham; her husbands, Laz Sanford and Paul Howard Pickering; her son, Howard Ray Pickering; a granddaughter, Maryann Pickering; and ten siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette Crosby, and her husband, Ellis of Seminary; a daughter-in-law, Dianne Pickering of Seminary; five grandchildren, Greg Crosby, Phyllis Crosby Howell, Cheree Crosby Knight, Melanie Pickering Yawn, and Matthew Pickering; eight great-grandchildren, Lacan Ellis, Lane Crosby, Cade Knight, Shayne Knight, Kelbie Howell, Jace Howell, Mason Yawn, and Mark Yawn; five great great-grandchildren, Gunner Ellis, Leah Ellis, Jennings Ellis, Luke Crosby, and Tucker Crosby; and a host of nieces, and nephews.
