Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Collins for Olgia Faye Harper Lott, 87 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at her residence.

Reverend Joseph Bird will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Janice Shanks. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Collins.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Collins.

Mrs. Lott was born on March 22, 1930 in Covington County, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Lott and her husband, the late Ray B. Lott, were the co-owners and operators of the Lott Supermarket and Ray Lott Electronics. During her working career, she was also employed by Piggly Wiggly as the office manager for sixteen years and the First Baptist Church of Collins as the church secretary for fourteen years. Mrs. Lott was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Collins where she was active in the Ladies Outreach Sunday School Class and the Joy Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher Columbus Harper and Betty Smith Harper; her husband, Ray B. Lott; three brothers, Alvin Harper, Denton Harper, and Glenn Harper; and five sisters, Velma Harper McDonald, Edith Harper Smith, Marie Harper Scruggs, Floy Harper Carter, and Idell Harper Romedy.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Lott of Albertville, Alabama, Mark Lott and his wife Susie of Fruitland, Idaho, and Randy Lott and his wife, Paula of Kildeer, Illinois; her daughter-in-law, and caregiver, Veronica Lott of Laurel; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
