Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins for Pamela Jean Shoemake, 64, of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Brother Reese Douglas will officiate the services with interment to follow. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be David Kirkley, Sawyer Cross, Roman Shoemake, Lee Shoemake, Steve Ponder, and Braxton Graves. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Duckworth, Craig Miller, and Leslie Rutland.
Mrs. Pam was born January 20, 1959, in Covington County to Glen and Carolyn Cross. She was reared in the Ora Community and graduated from Collins High School in 1977. She spent the majority of her adult life as owner and bookkeeper of The Muffler Shop, now known as Roman's Muffler Shop. She enjoyed going to church, spending time with her close friends, and playing with her grandchildren. Mrs. Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by her family and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen Hampton and Janie Carolyn Harvey Cross; and a sister-in-law, Rene Sanford Cross.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Shoemake of Collins; children, Roman Shoemake (Morgan) Lee Shoemake (Tayler) of Collins and Woodsen Shoemake Graves (Clark) of Seminary; step-children, Chris Shoemake of Collins and Laine Shoemake Magee (Tem) of Mize; brother, Joey Cross of Mount Olive; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, P.O. Box 1628, Collins, Mississippi.
