Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Pat Garland Lovette, 80 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Dr. Barry Armstrong will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive guests from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Mr. Lovette was born on May 19, 1944, in Seminary, Mississippi. He retired from Asplundh Tree Services after twenty years of service as an arborist. Mr. Lovette was a member of the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, paw-paw, and brother. Mr. Lovette never met a stranger and always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Jackson "Cleve" Lovette and Elna Bullock Lovette; one brother, James Franklin Lovette; and four sisters, Audrey Faye Baughman, Voncille Walters, Lavine Hardin and Ella Gates.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Betty Wilborn Lovette of Collins, MS; one son, Bradley Lovette (Debra) of Denham Springs, LA; three daughters, Jessica Lovette of Collins, MS, Amanda Lovette Busha (Terry) of Vancleave, MS and April Lovette Sanders (Craig) of Purvis, MS; six grandchildren, Madison Church, Kayleigh Harris, Austin Lovette, Alyssa Busha, Dawson Busha, and Trace Sanders; two great-grandchildren, Sage Church and Gabe Harris Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
