December 16, 1945 – August 22, 2019
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the
Mount Olive Presbyterian Church in Mount Olive for Ann Tew Magee, 73 of Sumrall,
and formerly of Mount Olive, who went to her Heavenly home on Thursday,
August 22, 2019 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Reverend Joe Gardner and Reverend Kenneth Flynt will officiate at the
Services with interment to follow in the McNair Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Colonial Chapel Funeral of Mount Olive will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive guests from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday,
August 24, 2019 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home and from 1:00 p.m. until
2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Mount Olive Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Magee, Rex Magee, Connor Wright,
Ricky Thompson, Jake Burnham, and Bo Bankston. Honorary pallbearer will
be Tommy Tullos.
Mrs. Magee was born on December 16, 1945 in Mount Olive, Mississippi.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was
a member of the Mount Olive Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Magee was a friend to all
that knew her and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Dorothy Flynt "Dot"
Tew; her sister, Virginia Tew Felder; and a grandson, Jeffery Gage Magee.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of almost
fifty-five years, Jackie E. Magee of Sumrall; one son, Jeff Magee, and his wife,
Melissa of Mize; one daughter, Julie Magee Wright, and her husband, Jeff of
Sumrall; an adopted daughter, Ginnie Wadsworth, and her husband, Crayton of
Magee; eight grandchildren, Gabby Rainey, Connor Wright, Lynley Blakeney,
Jake Burnham (Charlotte), Jessie Magee, Landrie Ann Wadsworth, Levi
Wadsworth, and Layden Wadsworth; and three great-grandchildren, Heidi Cockrell,
Maddie Cockrell and J.W. Blakeney.
