Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Patricia Seger, 68 of Seminary, who passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Reverend Tammy Grimes will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Seger's granddaughters. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 12, 2023, and from 12:00pm until service time on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Billy M. King Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.
Pallbearers will be Mason Hosey, Josh Leggett, Brandon Dickinson, Brandon Dean, Gyntry Stroud, Michael "Tiny" Thrash, and Billy Saulters. Honorary pallbearers will be John Hosey, Oscar Hosey, and Lamar Hosey.
Mrs. Seger was born on November 2, 1954 in Laurel, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of the Baptist faith and attended The Springs Church. She was a homemaker by trade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jack Hosey and Lonie Mae Dunn Wilson; her husband, Doyle Ray Seger; two sons, Michael Shelby Maxwell and R. L. Maxwell; one brother, Wayne Hosey; two sisters, Bobbie Gail Stroud, and Mary Katherine "Kat" Raby.
Survivors include her two sons, Donald Dewayne Seger (Brian) of Gulfport, and Joel Lynn Seger (Felicia) of Seminary; two daughters, Charlotte Mae Teague (Jason) of Clarksville, Arkansas and Tammy Grimes (Donald) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; five brothers, John Hosey (Tiny), Oscar Hosey (Janet), Lamar Hosey (Janice), and Tim Dunn, all of Collins, and Willie Wilson (Debra) of Carson; five sisters, Mae Nell Lott and Betty Jo Parmer, both of Collins, Tammy Lynn Ivy of Sumrall, Betty Dean and Becky Kemp, both of Mount Olive; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
