Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Willow Grove Baptist Church in Collins for Patrick James Ellis, 24 of Seminary, who passed away from complications of Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) on Monday, January 22, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Reverend Rocky Holston, Reverend Alexander Booth, and Mr. Roger Sanford will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins
Pallbearers will be Chris Keys, Cody Garrick, Austin Smith, Blake Maxwell, Will Mitchell, Miles Guthrie, Eddie Guthrie, and Marshall Brown.
Mr. Ellis was born on March 12, 1993 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was a graduate of the Seminary High School Class of 2011 and attended Jones County Junior College. Mr. Ellis was a member of the Willow Grove Baptist Church. He was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Habitat for Humanity. Patrick was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Martha Day; his maternal step- grandmother, Debbie Capino; his paternal grandmother, Nora Ellis, and paternal grandfather Willie B. Ellis, Jr.; and his uncle, Robert (Gene) Day.
Survivors include his parents, Donald Ellis, Sr. and Florence (Patt) Ellis of Seminary; his grandfather, Danny Capino of Kelso, Tennessee; one brother, Donald Ellis, Jr. (Tottianna) of Sumrall; one sister, Candice Ellis (Kevin) of Seminary; three nephews, Wesley Thrash, Donald Ellis, III, and Bradley Thrash; and a host of other family members and friends.
