Phillip Leslie Anderson, Jr.

(March 9, 1981 – September 5, 2023)

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Union South Baptist Church in Seminary for Phillip Leslie Anderson, Jr., 42, of Seminary, who passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Dr. Barry Armstrong will officiate the service. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Union South Baptist Church, 97 Union Church Road, Seminary, Mississippi.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Anderson, Justin Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson, Paul Anderson, Eli Wann, and Dalton Wann.

Leslie was born on March 9, 1981, in Collins to Philip and Brenda Anderson. A lifelong resident of Seminary and 1999 graduate of Seminary High School, he enjoyed fishing, swimming, working on cars, and watching Nascar races. Leslie will be dearly missed by his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan Lane Anderson; and a nephew, Levi Anderson.

Survivors include his parents, Philip Leslie Anderson, Sr. and Brenda Sue Gandy Anderson of Seminary; brother, Paul Anderson (Sara) of Laurel; nephew, Jacob Anderson of Petal; and many extended family members and friends.
