Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Ransom Clem Sellers, 82 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Asbury House in Hattiesburg.
Brother Reece Douglas, Jr. will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Blakely Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Marsha and Steve Wade. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins. The funeral home will abide by state regulations requiring masks to be worn and social distancing.
Pallbearers will be Leslie Tisdale, Carter Tisdale, Lance Sasser, James Harvey, Samuel Howell, Trent Harvey, Tristan Harvey, and Maddox Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Blakely Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Sellers was born on August 15, 1938 in Covington County, Mississippi to Virgil and Jewel Burnham Sellers. He was a graduate of Mount Olive High School. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Sellers retired from the United States Postal Service after numerous years of service as rural mail carrier. He also was a building contractor and built numerous houses though out the Covington County area. Mr. Sellers was an Army National Guard veteran. He was a member and deacon of the Blakely Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-four years, Martha Graves Sellers; his parents, Virgil and Jewel Burnham Sellers; a son-in-law, Michael Anthony Eubanks; and three sisters, Johnnie Rose Sellers Gentry, Ruby Sellers Sasser, and Janet Sellers Sullivan.
Survivors include two daughters, Clemmie Sellers Eubanks of Mize and Karen Sellers Tisdale (Leslie) of Ellisville; five grandchildren, Kimberly Eubanks Harvey (James), Bethany Eubanks, Valerie Eubanks Howell (Samuel), Jessie Tisdale, and Carter Tisdale; five great-grandchildren, Trent Harvey, Tristan Harvey, Trinnity Harvey, Maddox Howell, and Emerson Howell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and numerous friends.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Blakely Creek Baptist Church, in care of Raymond Speed, 25 Mickey's Lane, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.
