Raymond Edward King

(December 31, 1941 – October 21, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Raymond Edward King, 79 of Ellisville, who passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Asbury House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Reverend Troy Rayner and Reverend Scott Aaron Kitchens will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi 39428.

Pallbearers will be Jason Harris, David Adam Morgan, Joel King, Hebert Sasser, II, Mike Jarrell, and William Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Craven and Jeffrey Parker.

Mr. King was born on December 31, 1941, in East Hampton, New York.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He served our country in the United States Army.  He enjoyed fishing and most of all spending time with his family.  He will be missed by his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Ruth Pitts King; father, Raymond Edward King, Sr.; mother, Adrianna Pearl Horton Leggett; one grandson, Stephen Lee Wilson; and one sister, Blache Elizabeth King Sims.

Survivors include his seven children, Marcella Ruth King Yenor of Bassfield, Teresa Ann King Morgan and Jeffrey Lynn Parker, of Ellisville, Raymond (Bo) Edward King, Jr. and his wife Tammy Renee, of Ellisville, Mary Elizabeth King Wilson and her husband, Richard, of Collins, Billy Howard King and his wife Brandi Jean, of Seminary, Christina Marie King Lambert and husband Chad Earl, of Seminary, and Jimmy Dale King of Ellisville; seventeen grandchildren, Brandy Leann Cornish and her husband, Derrick, of Moss Point, Johnny Wayne Abercrombie of Collins, Holly Abercrombie of Georgia, Jason Harris and his wife ,Stormi, of Louisiana, Adam Morgan and his wife Brittney, of Pascagoula, Joel Edward King of Ellisville, Emily Ruth King Mitchell and her husband, William, of Collins, Elizabeth Rose Hickman of New York, Melissa Nicole King of Brandon, Sebastian Colt Bozeman of Seminary, Audrey Ruth King of Seminary, Samantha Rae Chandler of Moselle, Herbert Anthony Sasser and his wife, Chastity, of Seminary, Summer Marie Sasser Lott and her husband Micah of Seminary, Haley Nicole Lambert of Gulfport, Zachary Clayton Lambert of Gulfport, Kayla Lourel  King of Ellisville, J.D.
