Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at The Springs Church in Collins for Reed King, 30 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Mount Olive.

Reverend West Garner and Ms. Haley Allen will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Leaf River Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 12:30 pm util service time at The Springs Church, 983 Cold Springs Road, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.

Pallbearers will be Joe Shows, Zach Roberts, Jamie Cruse, Ryan Odom, Mason Hall, Mason Bland, and Emanuel Humphrey.

Reed was born on November 25, 1993, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Mount Olive High School. Reed was employed by Keithco Petroleum in their maintenance department. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Reed was a loving son, brother, grandson, and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gwinn Rush; one brother, Andrew Tyler Rush; and one sister, Allison Paige King.

Survivors include his mother, Vickie Rush of Mount Olive; his father, Dudley Terrel King of Collins; one brother, Cody King (DeDe) of Mount Olive; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Rush Simoneau (Robert) of Decatur; his paternal grandparents, James and Minnie Mae King of Collins; one nephew, Rush; and four nieces, Emma, Riley, Ellie and Piper; and a host of other family members and friends.
