Renette Coulter McRaney

(March 28, 1938 – August 29, 2026) 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for Renette Coulter McRaney, 88 of Collins, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her residence. 

Reverend Dennis Lewellyn and Reverend Danny Forrest will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lone Star Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi, 39428. 

Her pallbearers will be Sean McRaney, Christopher McRaney, Joel McRaney, Marlon McRaney, Lamar McRaney, and Ray Coulter. Honorary pallbearers will be Liam McRaney, and Cohen McRaney. 

Mrs. Coulter was born on March 28, 1938, in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi to Irvin and Lillie Mae Penton Coulter. She was a homemaker by trade. Mrs. Coulter was a member of the Lone Star Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by her family members and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Lillie Mae Penton Coulter; her husband of seventy years, Curtis Doyle McRaney; one son, Terry Lynn McRaney; three brothers, Lyndell Coulter, Travis Coulter, and James E. Coulter; and one sister, Olivia Saulters. 

Survivors include her son, Curtis Craig McRaney, and his wife, Tamela of Vicksburg; two grandsons, Sean Patrick McRaney and Christopher Craig McRaney; five great-grandchildren, Lydia, Liam, Laney, Cohen, and Ellis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
