Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Seminary Baptist Church for Richard Felton (Foots) Aultman, 80 of Seminary, who passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at his residence.
Dr. Timothy Hubbard, Reverend Glenn Shoemake, and Mr. Jim Cameron will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Seminary Cemetery with military rites at graveside. Special music will be provided by Mr. Bill Rogers and Mrs. Melanie Hubbard. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Seminary Baptist Church in Seminary, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Milton Rogers, Scott Lindley, Kenny Brock, Freddy Bullock, Tim (Booger) Lott, and Danny Beasley. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Thomas, Joe Napier, and Joe Bullock.
Mr. Aultman was born on December 5, 1940 in Seminary, Mississippi to Nolan and Mary Nell Beasley Aultman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Aultman proudly served his country in the United States Army during 1959-1962. He was a part of the 101 st Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He received numerous badges of honor during his tenure. Mr. Aultman retired as a locomotive engineer and fireman from the Illinois Central Railroad after thirty-nine years of service. He served as Election Commissioner for Covington County District Two for eight years. Mr. Aultman was an active member of the Seminary Baptist Church and was ordained as a Deacon in 2010. He was also a member of the Hattiesburg Masonic Lodge #397. Mr. Aultman loved God, his family, his church, and his country. He enjoyed gardening, trains, and family gatherings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Mary Nell Beasley Aultman; and his older brother, Cavanaugh Aultman.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Eva Doris Lott Aultman of Seminary; two sons, John Edward Aultman, and his wife, Melanie of Seminary and Joel Clifton Aultman, and his wife, Tammy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Austin Aultman, Bailey Marie Aultman, Amber Michelle Aultman, and Shannon Camille Aultman; one sister, Carol Diane Cameron, and her husband, Jim of Hattiesburg; one niece, Lil Lewis; one nephew, Todd Lewis; and a host of other family members and friends.
