Robert Alfred Dahlstrom

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Robert Alfred Dahlstrom, 83 of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away to his Heavenly Home on February 26, 2022, at Passages Hospice in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Brother Wayne Hebert will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be David Pardee, Randy Yates, Brandon Yates, Brian Wade, Casey Wade, and Zane Collins.

Mr. Dahlstrom was born on December 26, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Eric John Dahlstrom and Laurette Hecker Dahlstrom.  He retired from CSX Transportation as a switchman after forty-years of service.  Mr. Dahlstrom proudly served in the National Guard for many years.  He was a member of the 1 ^st Church of Christ Scientist in New Orleans.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iola McMellon Dahlstrom; his parents, Eric John Dahlstrom and Laurette Hecker Dahlstrom; a brother, John Eric Dahlstrom; two nephews, Sam Pardee and J.R. Givens; and a goddaughter, Cindy Miller Yates.

Survivors include a niece, Rae Margaret Pardee of St. Amant, Louisiana; two great-nephews, David Pardee of St. Amant, Louisiana and Arthur Pardee of Franklinton, Louisiana; and a godson, William R. "Randy" Yates of Collins.
