Robert Paul Daniel

(April 21, 1946 – August 29, 2018)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 01, 2018, at First United Methodist Church of Mount Olive, MS, for Robert Paul Daniel, 72, of Mount Olive, who passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Merit-Wesley Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.

Rev. Jerry Beam and Rev. David Greer will officiate the services with interment to follow in Mount Olive City Cemetery. Special music will be provided by Mr. Charles Leggett, Mrs. Darla Leggett and Mr. Randy Williams. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mount Olive will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time.

Pallbearers will be Don Hardin, Brad Davis, Todd Duckworth, Jacob Hardin, Walter Adams and James Ewing.

Paul was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He was a retired Methodist minister who served churches primarily in North Mississippi.  Paul was an extremely personable man with a wonderful sense of humor who loved people and never met a stranger.  He was a member of the Mississippi State Band and loved everything pertaining to Mississippi State.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Martha Daniel and brother, Joe Daniel.

Survivors include wife, Janice Duckworth Daniel, Mount Olive, MS; daughters, Gwen Adams (Walter), TX, Marisa Daniel, Seminary, MS; grandchildren, Carlie Ewing (James), Bay Saint Louis, MS, Cynthia Burkes, Yazoo City, MS, Kalista Jackson and Craig Jackson, Seminary, MS; 6 great grandchildren; brother, William Daniel and sister-in-law, Shannon Daniel, Nashville, TN.
