Robert Jefferson Parrett, Sr.
(December 6, 1951 - January 24, 2022)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Robert Jefferson Parrett, Sr., 70 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at his residence.

Reverend Bryson Haden will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Jesus Name Holy Hill Cemetery in Mount Olive. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, MS 39428.

Pallbearers will be Harrison Caves, Paul Ray Caves, Willie Caves, Charles Ray Keene Jr., Jimbo Thrash, Chris Parrett, Bob Powell, Doyle Powell, and Scotty McMahan. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Hot Coffee Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Parrett was born on December 6, 1951, in Laurel, Mississippi to Noel and Willie Mae Parrett. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Parrett retired from Devinney Telephone as a general laborer. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Parrett served as a volunteer fireman for the Hot Coffee Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Willie Mae Parrett; his wife, Brenda Kay Keene Parrett; a son-in-law, Richard Bond; one sister, Willie D. Parrett; and one brother, Boyd Parrett.

Survivors include one son, Robert Jefferson "Jeff" Parrett Jr., and his wife, Monica of Mount Olive; one daughter, Debra Kay Parrett Bond of Mount Olive; one granddaughter, Aloura Parrett of Mount Olive; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Keene of Mount Olive; three sisters, Dorothy Thrash of Petal, Mabell Parrett and , Nell Davis, both of Richton; and one brother, Junior Parrett of Petal; and a host of nieces and nephews.
